Our Vision

Our vision is a democratic society in which everyone has access to and is free to exchange information and opinions about all issues relevant to them as individuals and to society as a whole. We believe that the provision of accurate and unbiased news and reporting is vital to ensure that the fundamental rights of individuals are respected within a democracy, and that the responsibility for this lies with a national media that is both impartial and strives to promulgate the truth. We at Wusha have therefore made it our responsibility to create a media group incorporating all the key mediums of communication and the dissemination of information in the modern world, in order to facilitate the emergence and development of an open and democratic society in Kurdistan and in all of Iraq.

Our Mission

Wusha Corporation considers itself a bridge between the Kurds and the international community and was established in March 2007 as a multi-medium media platform for the distribution of information, supported by a network of experienced journalists and researchers. Wusha’s ambition has always been to produce news and media services based on the principles of responsible, ethical and unbiased journalism, and to the highest possible standards. We want to make our information and services available not just to Iraqi citizens, but to all those in the Middle East and beyond to whom they can be use and of interest. To this end the Wusha Corporation’s subsidiaries have been developed to cover all of the various mediums of communication including print (Rozhnama Newspaper), the internet (Sbeiy.com), televised news (KNN satellite channel) and radio (Dangi Gorran).

We are confident that through our different mediums we will be able to provide a voice to everybody in Iraq, and perhaps more importantly a voice to anyone who is ready to work peacefully towards an open, free and democratic society. We are deeply convinced that the establishment of a media platform giving a free and open means for people to communicate with one another, as well as providing a source of unbiased information on which people can base their opinions, is a vital stepping stone towards a society which is not afflicted by violence and corruption.
